Three French Hens

IMG 4909 Three French Hens

During the 12 Days of Christmas,
it’s the Three French Hens who have the
café crèmes, croissants…and soulless, beady eyes.

Reverence for the Twelve Apostles

12Apostles Australia Reverence for the Twelve Apostles

The only thing as amazing as the water- and wind-carved
limestone formations known as the Twelve Apostles,
set along Australia’s legendary Great Ocean Road:

Taking a photo of even just one of them…with your iPad.

Bridge to Nowhere

 Bridge to Nowhere

When Florida’s Scenic Highway (US 1) was built to unfurl
high above the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico,
the old bridge was phased out and now has a few spots, um…

All I’m saying is that as you’re zipping along at
70-plus miles an hour, it’s a little disconcerting.

Venture a Highway

I’m mesmerized by this photo, Edward Burtysnky’s Highway #5.

I mean, I know from long experience that the tangled highways and concrete sprawl of Los Angeles make for an epic landscape, but seen from above?

It just makes me want to head home, park my car, and walk my way across the grassy/soil-packed/marshy/sandy/rocky/and flower-dotted backroads of the Earth for the rest of time.

Now, who’s with me?!
